I’m Zera, a 26 year old woman who lives in India. I was born to a Christian mother, and have been a Christian ever since I was little. While my faith was never perfect, and I will admit I was not very steadfast. I never doubted Jesus but He was always God to me but I only ever sought Him when I was in trouble. I was one of those Christians who never read their bible, and never attended church. It was only in my 20s that I started reading my Bible, for the first time ever and I realised, there was a lot to know.

Now, I try to participate in as many bible studies as I can (with the limited time that I have, resources and more, I also focus on one subject or plan at a time as I want to understand it and then move onto the next), and read my bible regularly.

For me, ever since my cousin told me after his confirmation, “Prayer is when we talk to God and Scripture is how God talks to us.” it encouraged me to take my bible studies more seriously, to learn and journal. I’m not a preacher, but if my thoughts, and writings could help even one more person draw closer to God, I would feel honoured that God used me.

Please expect to see many musings, my bible journal, my thoughts on sermons, and my meditations in God’s words as I try my best to understand everything God reveals to me, in my life.

Early Life

As a child, I was always the good girl. I was never rebellious and loved being appreciated by my teachers in school, my friends and my parents. You could say I was a total people pleaser. Since then, I’ve tried to change my ways. I realised as I grew up, people’s opinions don’t matter, it only matters what God thinks of you.

I am a graduate in Political Science and a post-graduate in Journalism and Mass Communication. I have always loved writing and all throughout my college I used to think I would join a publishing company and write for them. Alas, it was not to be and I ended up discovering my lost passion for art and design, I started my own small design studio where I help bloggers and creative individuals make an income doing what they love, and teach them how to position themselves to be authentic and on-brand online.
